Small, volunteer-run, and here since 2019.
Next Genesis Ministries, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation, active continuously since October 29, 2019, and recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) since 2020. It is governed by a volunteer board, has no paid staff, and is based in Tampa, Hillsborough County.
A ministry that kept its word, then widened its reach.
Next Genesis Ministries was incorporated in Tampa in October 2019 with a clear purpose in its Articles: to educate, motivate and encourage youth and young adults about entrepreneurship.
From its first year, the ministry has supported local churches and ministries, and its members have served in person alongside an independent local ministry. It has kept its IRS filings current, and its standing has never lapsed.
In 2026–27, Next Genesis Ministries adds direct work with young adults through the Start-Up Cohort, carrying out the entrepreneurship purpose written into its 2019 charter.

What we were chartered to do
Our Articles of Incorporation, filed with the State of Florida in 2019, state our specific purpose:
“…to educate, motivate and encourage youth and young adults about entrepreneurship.”
Our mission statement carries that purpose forward:
Next Genesis Ministries educates, motivates and encourages youth and young adults in Tampa Bay to build enterprises and financial independence.
We are a faith-rooted organization. Our faith shapes why we serve; it is never a condition of who we serve.
Who is accountable
A volunteer board of directors governs Next Genesis Ministries and is responsible for its programs, finances and compliance. Officers and directors serve without salary. The organization has no employees.
We will publish the board roster on this page, with titles that match our state filings, once each director has consented to being listed. Grantmakers who need the roster for a review can ask us directly.
Policies
The board is putting the following policies in place. Each will be listed here with its adoption date once adopted.
- Conflict of interest, with annual disclosure
- Whistleblower protection
- Records retention and gift acceptance
- Financial controls
- Non-discrimination for participants and volunteers
- AI use (below)
- Youth protection, before any program serves minors
AI does the paperwork. People decide.
Next Genesis Ministries uses AI tools for administration, research, drafting and record-keeping: work that comparable organizations pay staff or consultants to do. That is how a volunteer-run ministry keeps its overhead close to zero.
- A named human verifies every fact and signs every document, application and commitment.
- No personal data of minors goes into AI tools, and no donor data either.
- We follow each funder's own rules on AI-assisted applications.
- Our AI team member, Tabitha, always identifies herself as AI.
Tabitha says it herself: “I'm an AI team member serving the mission — a human reviews everything I send.”
